I struggled a bit with some of the colours and patterns in this piece. Thank God acrylic is such a forgiving medium to work with - I repainted one leaf several times.

Christmas Island is in the Indian Ocean Territory of Australia. It's about 360 km south of Jakarta, Indonesia, and a 3 hour 40 minute flight from Perth. Our local population is largely Chinese, followed by Malay. The rest of us fall into the minority. If you enjoy the virtual tour here, you should come and visit. The real thing is always better :-)

I finished a Blue Crab design on the computer today. I have to get hold of a projector that will hook up to my computer though to transfer the design onto canvas. I've run out of printable overhead transparencies.
